THE MAKING OF AN OLD MASTER
Learning and mastering the methods and thechniques practiced by the great master painters of history has been central to my artistic career. The Old Masters have been a constant influence and guide throughout my career. Technique is everything to me and my practice is rooted in experimentation and a deep study of historical methods - from tempera and layered glazes in oil to loose impasto alla prima and the fine cross-hatching of pen and ink.
